Meet our YBC Coaches!

We would not have the successful Youth Bowling program that we have without the dedication of our volunteer YBC coaches and executive! We are always looking for more coaches so if you are, or know of, a former bowler who would like to assist with our program, we'd be happy to have you!

Ken Dick has been a fixture at the Opeongo Bowldrome for years (and I mean YEARS!) in multiple capacities and we're lucky to have him at our bowling alley! Ken has brought many bowlers to the high level competition and we're glad he's ours!
Shirley Proulx has also been around a LONG time and we're glad she has been! She's an avid bowler and has been our Pee Wee coach for many years. Shirley will be back again this year working with our youngest bowlers.
Our Program Director for the 2026-27 season is Kevin Jones. Pictured with his provincial champions, and coming all the way from Pembroke, Kevin has been volunteering with us for many years. We're thankful to have him and his expertise. He's an asset to our bowlers with his patience and knowledge of the game.
Mary Hill-Machan is a former YBC bowler who has returned with her kiddos and we're so pleased she has come back to us! Mary brings a wealth of knowledge of the sport and a contagious upbeat personality. Welcome back Mary!
Another elite coach returning this year is Nathan Machan. Nathan will once again help guide our bowlers to success while passing along his love for the sport.
